Buffalo Soldiers - Moses Williams Pacific Northwest Chapter

What We Do

As a non-profit education, patriotic, and military service organization, we accomplish our mission through the men's commitment to service within the community.  The soldiers of the Pacific NW Chapter are involved in various community service activities including:

        • Color Guard
        • Mounted Cavalry Units in the Rose Festival Parade, and the Hollywood Parade, as well as the 4th of July Parade and Memorial Day Observance at Vancouver Barracks.
        • Members engaged with city schools and other organizations to present the history of the Buffalo. Soldiers.
        • Sponsoring food drives for the Oregon Food Bank.
        • Sponsoring holiday toy drives for inner-city children.  Mounted cavalry members then deliver the toys within inner-city neighborhoods.
        • Participating in the local community cultural event, know as "Good in the Hood".
        • Organizing and conducting outreach activities for inner-city youth.
